‘Rent’ Strikes a Chord at Moore Theater

The play is the first live musical production at Dartmouth in three years.

Rent, Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical about life in New York’s East Village in the late 1980s during the AIDS epidemic,  in the Moore Theater at the ÌìÃÀÓ°ÊÓkins Center for the Arts. As these photos from a practice and dress rehearsal show, the student actors—aided by directors, designers, and choreographers—are all excited to be back on stage.

Also, Olivia Shortt, Guarini ’23, discusses working in the costume shop and repurposing existing pieces for the show. Watch the video.
